Quilt Block Pinwheel Windmill Set Of 25 Vintage Ticking Fabric Stripe Red Brown

Description

Here is a set of 25 quilt blocks in the Gay Pinwheel or Windmill pattern, #1262a/b as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman.  Pattern is categorized as a Four Patch block with specific construction.  Design is also known as Mosiac #9, Ladies Art Company Pattern #337.
Blocks are machine pieced and measure approximately 7 1/4" - 7 1/2" square.
Fabrics are woven and resemble ticking stripes, colors are generally red and brown.   Please note, seams do not meet properly in the center.  These could be taken apart into four patches, squared and resewn.
These are generally clean, although there are a few small brown spots present.

When working with vintage fabric, blocks, tops or quilts, prior quilting and piecing experience is helpful. Pieces were not rotary cut and cutting templates and patterns may not have been square. Pieced items may not be flat. Vintage items may have a musty or storage odor.
